What is the standard number for globe valves used in hydrogen pipelines according to American standards? What is the standard number for the accompanying flange? 3. This question touches on many technical aspects. There is no standard that prohibits the use of gate valves; it depends on what kind of gate valve is used. Generally, globe valves are preferred. There’s nothing to prevent their use – they can be employed when the pipe diameter is small and the pressure is not high. As for the American standard codes, I’m not sure about that either
