A pressure reducing valve has already been installed on the steam pipeline. Today, experts came to inspect it and said that a safety valve should be installed behind the pressure reducing valve. I can understand that, but I wonder if there are any standards or regulations that require the installation of a safety valve.

This seems to be a standard principle: once the pressure after pressure reduction exceeds the allowable level due to a malfunction in the pressure reducing valve, it can cause damage to the equipment in the system as well as other components. So it is necessary to set up the installation.
