Similarly, using patterned steel plates offers advantages in preventing the spread of fire and protecting against falling objects, but what are its limitations?

The new GB50160 standard recommends the use of patterned steel plates to prevent the spread of flames
1) Beams and columns of single-layer frameworks; 2) When the floor slabs of the multi-story structure are open steel grating floors, the beams and columns within a range of 10 m above the ground level ; 3) When the floor slab of a multi-story structure is a closed-type slab, the beams and columns in the area from the ground level up to the surface of that floor slab and within an additional 10 meters above it ; 4) All beams, columns, and load-bearing diagonal bracing of the frame equipped with an air cooler at the upper part. Stainless steel sheets are expensive, and their anti-slip properties are inferior to those of grating sheets.
