Should I go for air separation or desulfurization and denitration?

I’ve recently had two job opportunities, both in the field of process design. 1) It’s an environmental protection company with fewer than a hundred employees; their work involves desulfurization, denitrification, as well as the treatment of wastewater and exhaust gases. 2) The other company deals with air separation, PSA technology, and membrane separation processes; it’s located in Chengdu and belongs to the Ximeika Environmental Protection group. The salary at the first company is about a thousand or two thousand yuan higher, while the second company seems to be more established. I’m not very familiar with the chemical industry – could you please give me some advice?

The desulfurization and denitration industries are in decline; the coal-fired power sector is finished, and industries other than power generation are in a dire financial situation – it’s hard to make money in these fields. So what’s the point? One will have to change jobs again in a couple of years.
Wastewater and waste gas treatment is possible; however, there are fewer projects related to desulfurization and denitrification these days. The air separation sector is also already saturated. Environmental protection has now become a norm, and it will surely continue to improve over the next decade.
Environmental protection requires relatively lower safety standards and less pressure.
