During normal operation of the raw material tank area, the manual valve at the bottom of the tank is closed, as is the valve at the pump outlet. The total length of the pipeline is approximately 30 meters. In summer, every few hours the pressure in this sealed pipeline increases, sometimes reaching as high as 10 kilograms. I would like to know what causes this phenomenon, and whether there are any ways to resolve it without carrying out major repairs.
This post was last edited by sdwfsgyykai on 2019-6-28 08:06. I have encountered the same issue; the solution is to close the two valves at the base of the storage tank, close the pump inlet valve, and open the pump outlet valve.
The reason is that the high temperature from the sun causes the pressure in the enclosed pipes to rise naturally. Do you mean the pipeline from the bottom of the tank to the pump inlet? Why should the bottom valve of the tank be closed?
This is related to the material inside the pipeline. If the material is volatile, when the valves at both ends of the pipeline are closed in summer and exposed to sunlight, the increasing temperature causes some of the material to vaporize, resulting in a sharp rise in pressure. A common solution is to open one valve; usually, the valve at the bottom of the storage tank is opened, as there is a large amount of material in the tank, so there won’t be significant changes. Opening the inlet valve of the pump, on the other hand, may cause cavitation in the pump, making it difficult to start
A guess: High ambient temperatures, combined with solar radiation, cause part of the medium to vaporize, leading to an increase in pressure

Yes, the maximum weight it can reach is 10 kilograms. Currently, I want to open the valve at the bottom of the tank regularly to release pressure!
The storage tank valves should not be operated frequently; frequent opening and closing can easily lead to leaks. The valve is normally open, and an emergency shut-off valve is installed downstream of it; in the event of a leak, it can be used to shut off the flow immediately. If you seal the pipe in this way, it’s easy for the pipe to burst. There’s also a metal hose behind the valve; if anything goes wrong, that metal hose might break.
Hydrocarbon media, right? It’s normal; just make sure the root valve mentioned above isn’t closed, or else drain it – though that will be a waste
Anti-overpressure measures should be considered between the two shut-off valves… If not, it constitutes a design flaw… This can also be detected; if it cannot be detected, that’s a serious problem
Look at Clause 5.5.6 of the Petrochemical Regulations; the experts thought of this long ago, but you failed to implement it.
