Sodium methoxide is required in the production process. Is it better to add solid sodium methoxide directly to the reaction vessel, or is a sodium methoxide solution more appropriate?
It must be the liquid that’s causing the problem; I’m using solid feed here: lol
If there’s no risk, it’s better to use solid feed; to turn it into a liquid, an additional feeding system is needed
How do you add it? Do people manually pour it into the reactor bag by bag?
It is extremely dangerous; it can easily explode and cause burns

Does your company transfer liquid sodium methoxide from the storage tank to a metering tank, and then from there to the reaction vessel? Over time, many white solids accumulate in the metering tank – how do you deal with that? Thank you!
Reactions between liquid and solid phases are difficult to control, while liquid-liquid reactions allow for precise stoichiometry; the intensity of the reaction can be freely adjusted. As it is a homogeneous reaction, it proceeds under mild conditions.
