It has no direct relation to pressure, but rather to the pressure difference. The flow velocity in a horizontal straight pipe can be calculated directly using √(2△P/ρ).
If there is flow rate available, the velocity can be calculated by simply dividing the flow rate by the cross-sectional area. If this information is not known, then it is necessary to know the pressure difference P before and after the pipe, the length of the pipe L, and the hydraulic resistance S of the pipe (which can be obtained from tables using the inner diameter D of the pipe and the roughness n of its inner walls). In that case, the flow rate Q can be calculated as Q = ^(1/2), allowing for an approximate determination of the flow rate
