The areas indicated by the arrows do not seem to be used for heating, but they probably aren’t intended either for boiling the water in the tank. It might be that the mechanical engineering team was careless and failed to install internal heating pipes in the equipment, or it could be that the process engineering team did not specify this requirement clearly. However, benzene and toluene storage tanks do not require heating in ordinary areas; at least, no internal heating is needed. For steam boilers, heating elements are not installed on the equipment itself – instead, there are purging ports on the upstream pipelines. It is recommended that the person in question communicate with the process engineering and mechanical engineering teams
Do you confirm that no coil heating is required for the benzene tank in the north?
The general areas refer to those excluding the Northeast region; benzene is a toxic hazardous chemical. Insulating the outer wall of the tank with heating elements is far more effective, even if several layers are used, than installing heating coils inside the tank

The poster is referring to the waste tank for toluene; first, it is necessary to determine the composition of this waste, and then decide whether heating is required based on the local weather conditions. Those two pipelines, HWS and HWR, are undoubtedly the hot water supply and return pipes. There must be coils inside the tank, which is why they are not visible on site; it’s also possible that the coils are located near the drain outlet at the bottom of the tank.
The coil inside the tank is used for heating, similar to external heating. From the two straight lines at the bottom, it can be seen that this is a sludge discharge tank; such tanks are buried underground, and using external heating is very inconvenient in such cases. Take a look at the equipment diagram and everything will be clear.
