However, I wonder if placing them in the middle of the floor might not be safe Is it necessary to install it against a wall? I found some guidelines regarding equipment layout, but there are no clear instructions on how to arrange things like platforms. So, based on everyone’s experience, where is it generally reasonable to locate the lifting points used to lift materials during the production process?

The chemical engineering design manual states that, when the plant is short due to the equipment located on the floors, the lifting hole should be placed at the end near the gable wall; if the length of the plant exceeds 36 meters, the lifting hole should be located in the center of the plant.
