A horizontal, 100-cubic-meter, atmospheric-pressure steel storage tank is used. 2. The storage tank is equipped with a vent valve and a flame arrester to maintain constant pressure. 3. The storage tank facility is equipped with a fixed cooling spray system to prevent overpressure due to temperature increases in summer and to reduce breathing losses. 4. The storage tank is equipped with a magnetic floating plate level gauge at the installation site, as well as an intelligent differential pressure transmitter to enable remote monitoring of the liquid level; in addition, high and low level alarm functions are provided. However, there is no intention to install a high liquid level alarm or an interlock device for the unloading pump. 5. The storage tank is equipped with an on-site thermometer, but no temperature transmission system is installed. Are the above facilities feasible? It is feasible, but it is recommended to design the fire foam using an injection method from the top of the structure in case of an accident

It has nothing to do with volume; without a nitrogen seal, the breathing valve draws in air, which is quite dangerous.
In accordance with Section 6.2.4 of the Petrochemical Regulations, when storing Class A/B liquids in fixed-roof tanks or low-pressure storage tanks, measures should be taken to reduce temperature increases due to sunlight exposure, in order to prevent excessive vaporization of oil and gas and improve the safety of the storage tanks. The measures mainly include a fixed cooling water spray (mist) system, gas venting or gas condensation and recycling, nitrogen blanketing, or application of qualified insulating coatings. For storage tanks equipped with insulation or heat-insulating layers, sunlight has little impact on them, so there is no need to take additional measures to protect them from sunlight. 6.2.19 Fixed-roof tanks for Class A B and Class B liquids shall be equipped with flame arresters and vent valves ; Storage tanks for Class A B and Class C liquids that use nitrogen or other gases as a gas seal should also be equipped with emergency pressure relief devices. Can it be understood that fixed cooling sprays, gas venting (breather valves), and nitrogen sealing are actually parallel protective measures? In other words, is it sufficient as long as there are fixed cooling nozzles and gas venting (breather valves)? Just adding a nitrogen seal would definitely make it safer, right? Storage tanks for Class A B and Class C liquids that use nitrogen or other gases as a gas seal should also be equipped with emergency pressure relief devices. Install a nitrogen seal, safety valve, or explosion vent.
