As the title suggests, ice machines are required for the low-temperature methanol washing purification process and ammonia synthesis in ammonia production plants. What are the advantages and disadvantages of installing one ice machine for both processes together, as opposed to using two separate ice machines?
Generally, two units are installed, as there is a certain distance between the two devices. If only one unit is used, more materials such as pipes will be required, and higher insulation standards are needed; therefore, the cost of installing two ice makers is not much higher than that of installing just one.
