May I ask regarding the set points for the tank liquid level – how many points are required by standards, such as high-high, high, medium, low, low-low, etc.? What are the functions of the high, high-high, medium, low, and low-low settings for the liquid level? ?
I often hear about high, medium, and low liquid levels, and I’m also confused
It’s usually H/HH, L/LL~
High and low levels serve as alarm signals; when such settings are used, interlocks are usually in place, such as for controlling valves or starting and stopping pumps
HH level switch: high-high interlock to shut off the inlet valve. H float level gauge: high alarm. L float level gauge: low alarm. LL level switch: low-alarm interlock to stop the external transfer pump. This is how the light hydrocarbon storage tanks in our facility are configured
