Previously, the fire classification of sulfuric acid AN was classified as Class V, but in the new version of the \"Classification Standards for Buildings in Petrochemical Enterprises\", it has been classified as Class C. Why is that?
Regarding sulfuric acid an alone, it should be a non-flammable solid; for example, in the ammonium sulfate recovery facilities of acrylonitrile plants, it is classified as Category C in the standards. Is this classification taking into account the organic substances present in the waste acid water or waste dilute ammonium sulfate solutions? If ammonia is considered, then whether in gas or liquid form, it should be classified as Category B.
Under this standard, ammonium sulfate warehouses are also classified as Category C.
