Our company is involved in a new petrochemical project, and this involves the development of a self-protection interlock management system. May I ask whether it is the Instrumentation department or the Production Technology department that should be responsible for creating this system? Thank you
We are responsible for developing the procedures, as it involves not only the interlock logic but also setting interlock parameters, defining interlock levels, as well as determining the conditions and processes for disabling/enabling such interlocks; therefore, the process engineering team is in charge of management while the instrumentation team handles the implementation
