Dear colleagues, when the distance between the control room, the equipment area, and the living areas is large, there are issues related to commuting to and from work, communication between different areas of the plant, and traffic within the plant premises. Do the companies you work for have any good suggestions, such as internal buses, electric bikes, or bicycles? Are there any other good solutions? Thank you
In larger factory complexes, administrative departments and workshops will provide shared bicycles. Electric vehicles are not recommended due to risks such as exposure to sunlight and rain, poor storage conditions, and safety hazards associated with charging.
Work honestly and stop daydreaming: lol
Actually, bicycles are quite convenient; for large factories, commuter bikes are suitable for traveling home from outside the factory
Some companies choose to allow bicycles to reach the work sites by setting up temporary parking shelters. Electric vehicles are not allowed; parking is available in the parking structure of the office area.
Previously, the facility used multi-seater electric sightseeing vehicles… which required maintenance over time… Bicycles were not convenient for management… Moreover, the factory complex was large, with control rooms located in one central area, resulting in slow responses in case of any issues
The company has a shuttle service for the facilities and provides bicycles to employees.
At the moment, the most suitable option that comes to mind is using buses and bicycles within the factory premises
Bicycles on the premises are safer and more convenient!
