Hello, everyone. I would like to ask for some clarification regarding the various operating conditions in the design process of production facilities. For example, what are design conditions and what are calculation conditions? The design operating conditions are easy to understand, but I’m not quite clear on things like the calculation operating conditions. Please help me figure this out.
The validated operating condition parameters are applied to the equipment selected under the design conditions in order to verify its performance parameters, such as heat transfer efficiency and absorption efficiency
Operating conditions refer to the actual working conditions, and they are defined in relation to standard conditions of 0°C and 1 atmosphere of pressure; this is because in operating procedures, the parameters of the medium are rarely at standard conditions.
1. Conditions under standard conditions: the temperature is 0°C (273.15 K) and the pressure is 101.325 kPa (1 standard atmosphere, or 760 mmHg).
