Are you referring to the high-level tank? Has someone touched the heat medium vent valve?

It would be best to have a flowchart to look at. Is the expansion tank protected with nitrogen? It’s better to describe the operating conditions clearly in order to make a judgment.
The expansion tank should be connected in parallel to the main circulation pipeline of the heat transfer fluid. If the temperature rises and doesn’t drop, it means that the hot heat transfer fluid from the main circulation has entered the expansion tank. Check whether the valve between the inlet and outlet of the heat medium expansion tank in the main circulation circuit is closed
It must be that a certain valve opened accidentally, allowing the system’s heating oil to enter.
Check whether there is material circulating back to the sump, and whether the valve on this pipeline is open. Generally, this one is used for anti-freezing.
Is the bypass valve of the heat transfer pump a manual valve or a automatically controlled valve?
