Feelingly, stirring by back-blowing air from below seems fine, but how can stirring be achieved by applying vacuum from the top of the tank? My understanding is that once the vacuum removes all the air from above the tank, it pulls some of the liquid upward, and then gravity causes it to fall back down; but in this way, it only stirs the liquid at the surface level, right? Has anyone actually done this?
First of all, one cannot meet requirements by simply following what the client says; there must be a written basis, and formal contract procedures must be followed. For reference. Your description is too technical; it would be better to include a simple diagram, as visual aids make it easier to understand.
Thank you for the reminder. It’s actually a regular storage tank that can withstand a certain degree of negative pressure; there is a pipe connection on the top of the tank for connecting to vacuum, and the vacuum is activated when stirring is needed
It’s not done that way – a vacuum is created on the top of the tank so that some of the liquid film evaporates

This is impossible; a slight negative pressure in the storage tank can only generate a limited amount of suction force, and that’s not enough to stir the material or remove it from there
I have only seen those stirred with air. Is stirring necessary when evacuating? The vacuum is troublesome; it’s a bit blurry.
It really can’t be said to be wrong; it applies to a certain type of material, perhaps some liquid mixture, and involves boiling under pressure changes? It would be better to describe the problem in more straightforward terms, such as the physicochemical properties of the materials that need to be mixed, etc. For reference.

Even if you force it, you won’t achieve a mixing effect; but as long as the client is happy, that’s fine
A pure vacuum environment is highly unlikely. Vacuum at the top and air intake at the bottom – it works to some extent. I use this method as an emergency solution when the stirrer in the reactor loses power. Regarding the medium as well, nitrogen is introduced into tanks that are flammable and explosive; in the case of GMP standards, vacuum conditions also need to be taken into account to prevent backflow, as well as for the removal of VOCs through vacuum evacuation
