I believe the purpose of nitrogen sealing is to apply pressure with nitrogen when the saturated vapor pressure of the medium in the storage tank at the storage temperature is lower than atmospheric pressure, and when the medium in the tank must not mix with air (for example, due to an explosion risk). Because without nitrogen supplementation, the pressure in the storage tank cannot be balanced. For tanks whose gas phase is directly connected to the atmosphere, a nitrogen seal is generally not installed; however, if it is desired to reduce the evaporation of the medium inside the tank, introducing nitrogen gas can be considered. {:1_90:}
