During a fire scenario, how is the release volume calculated for equipment that contains multiple components? The vaporization latent heat of mixtures cannot be simulated using Aspen Plus, and therefore it cannot be calculated in such cases. For example, at a pressure release of 4 Barg, it is a 31% hydrochloric acid solution. Seeking advice.
Calculated under the most severe operating conditions, the composition of the components is analyzed, and the calculation is performed using a combination of components with the lowest vaporization latent heat.
