Do those fluid pipelines in oil fields need ball cleaning?

In valves with guide holes, the gate always fits tightly against the sealing surface, whether the valve is fully open or fully closed; this protects the sealing surface from direct exposure to the medium, thereby extending its service life. In the case of a flat gate valve without guide holes, when it is fully open, the gate slot at the bottom will leak directly. The drain hole connects the valve chamber of the gate valve to the area upstream of the valve, preventing the expansion of the volume of the fluid inside the valve chamber due to temperature changes or chemical reactions. Pressure can be released to the area upstream of the valve through this drain hole, and gate valves equipped with such drain holes require less effort to open. In terms of internal structure, the gate plates differ: in gate valves equipped with guide holes, the gate plates have holes that are almost identical in size to the pipe diameter. In terms of external structure, the lower part of the valve body in such gate valves is noticeably longer. When these gate valves are fully open, the gate plate grooves are not visible, resulting in low fluid resistance and minimal pressure drop; they are therefore used in pipelines where it is necessary to allow balls to pass through. In ordinary gate valves, the gate plate grooves are visible when the valves are open, which leads to slightly higher fluid resistance, and they cannot be used for allowing balls to pass through
