Not all pressure vessels require the installation of pressure transmitters and safety valves. In the case of two pressure vessels connected in series (the hot high-pressure vessel and the cold high-pressure vessel), the pressure is usually controlled at the end vessel (the cold high-pressure vessel); therefore, pressure transmitters and safety valves are typically installed at the top of the end vessel.
