I have a question for everyone: In an air separation unit, which uses steam-water bath vaporizers to vaporize liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen, if the water inside the vaporizer runs out, will the temperature at the outlet of the heating medium rise above its limit? There are two DN600 openings above the secondary vaporizer; in my opinion, if the liquid level is low and the steam stays there for a short time, it will be discharged directly through these openings, resulting in the outlet process fluid temperature not rising.
It won’t overheat, because it’s interlocked – it will be shut off
