Gentlemen, I’d like to ask: what is the final disposal method for various chemical by-products, such as those coming out of evaporators, demineralization units, or the ash collected by bag filters? Simply sending it to a hazardous waste disposal site means landfilling it. Now, a rigid landfill is required, and the cost is somewhat high. I was wondering if there are any other methods or process routes, and if so, how could they be utilized? What are the ways?
Mixed salts are processed to produce sodium chloride and sodium sulfide, which serve as industrial raw materials. Currently, several large coal chemical enterprises are adopting this approach, such as: Shenhua Yulin, China Coal Yulin, Shenhua Baotou, Shenhua Xinjiang, Sinopec Ningxia Energy Chemical, Zhongtian Hechuang, etc.
Mixed salts are a nationwide problem, and there is almost no solution to it at present. If the organic content is low, it can be used as a de-icing agent.
To the best of my knowledge, the disposal of miscellaneous salts generated in coal chemical processing is not yet standardized. Among the companies mentioned by the expert, there are several that I’m fairly familiar with; in reality, they have not yet utilized these salts as resources.
I feel the same way. Organic substances can, however, be treated through methods such as calcination and pyrolysis. Even after purification, there is hardly any way out. Industrial salt costs only a few hundred yuan per ton. Truly, there’s hardly any market for it as a product at all. Policy guidance is really needed in this regard.
Now many set specific industry standards, with unified export practices within the same sector.
