Is using saturated steam for cooling to address overheating in the Claus reactor of sulfur plants a good approach? Is it better to use nitrogen for cooling?
It is better to use steam for cooling; cold nitrogen can cause significant damage to the catalyst
Saturated steam contains water; is the heat absorbed during the vaporization of water having little impact on the catalyst?
