Why does the temperature drop after throttling expansion?
This problem should be the result of some form of energy conversion. There is an experiment involving a pump; a mark is made at the starting position of the piston, and then an external force is applied to compress the gas downward. As pressure increases, heat is generated simultaneously. Some of the pressure energy is converted into heat energy. Because part of this heat generated is absorbed by the atmosphere.
