According to the standards, load-bearing steel frameworks, supports, and pedestals for non-flammable medium equipment located in explosion-hazardous areas must have a height-to-diameter ratio of 8 or more, and a total weight of 25 tons or more. The uninsulated parts on the outside of the steel skirt, as well as the inside of the skirt with a diameter greater than 1.2 meters, should be coated with fire-resistant paint. Why is it so rare to see companies applying this coating? Was it due to no requirements in the design, or did the company fail to apply the coating to save costs? Or is this standard not applicable to the coal chemical industry?
