Interlock issue related to pressure difference in wastewater thermal cracking — There are two pressure difference transmitters, PDI-172040 and PDI-172041, located between the pump outlet and the reactor; when either pressure exceeds 0.5 Mpa, the valves HVK-172020 and HVK-172030 are shut down via interlock. The process conditions involve a control pressure of 10 Mpa and a temperature of 300 degrees Celsius. The current interlock value is 0.5 Mpa. From a process perspective, on which side of HVK-172020 or HVK-172030 should the high-pressure side of the differential pressure transmitter be installed? A foreigner came by once; I didn’t ask at that time. I thought that the gauge had the high-pressure side of the differential pressure transmitter installed on the HVK-172030 side, but in reality, the high-pressure side was installed on the HVK-172020 side.
1. Work flow: Pump ---- Reactor. 2. The purpose of setting up PDZoo is to prevent the reactor from overpressuring and causing fluid to flow back to the pump. 3. The setting of the high/low pressure ports for PDT should generally be in line with the normal flow direction (upstream/downstream); the PDT interlock value should be set at a low level, as a lower value indicates an increase in reactor pressure. (However, PD++++ indicates a high alarm, and the high-pressure port should be connected to the reactor side.)
