For the purging of high-pressure steam pipelines, the standard only specifies the flow rate; can it be understood that as long as the flow rate is sufficient, it doesn’t matter if the purging pressure is at a lower level? For example, when purging a 9.8 MPa steam pipeline, can we use 0.5 MPa steam for the purge, provided that the purge flow velocity exceeds 30 m/s and the target test yields satisfactory results?
