Either party can initiate the meeting, and the main items are as follows: 1. Reconfirm the design requirements and design basis. It is usually proposed by the design institute. 2. Clarify the matters not specified in the technical annex. It is usually proposed by the design institute. 3. Confirm the rules for design numbering, such as the rules for section numbers, unit numbers, area numbers, as well as equipment numbers, pump numbers, instrument tag numbers, and complete unit numbers. It is usually proposed by the design institute and confirmed by the owner. 4. Relevant professionals from various fields shall meet to establish agreements regarding the design standards, principles, and requirements that are not mentioned in the technical attachments. 5. Specify the document transmission channel, format, and numbering rules ; As well as the requirements for review, check, and approval. 7. Review and determine the progress of engineering/design/purchase ; The timing for exchanging files. Note: At the start of a meeting, only matters that will result in business changes may be discussed, depending on the authority granted to each company. The project kickoff meeting is organized by the design institute, and is chaired by the project manager of the same institute. The meeting agenda includes: 1. Clarifying the work scope and basic requirements of the design institute ; 2. Determine the list of authorized representatives and key professionals from both the owner and the design institute, as well as the communication channels and coordination procedures (to be drafted by the design institute) ; 3. Discuss tasks related to the project plan ; 4. Identify the main control nodes. The meeting minutes are drafted by the design institute and issued after being signed by representatives from both parties. Before the start of the preliminary design phase, the client needs to prepare a range of parameters, including: 1) properties of the raw materials, 2) processing capabilities, 3) required quality standards for the products, 4) environmental protection requirements, 5) industry-specific requirements, and other such parameters. For the design institute, the following preparations are required: 1. Establish a design negotiation team and send people to conduct on-site inspections ; ⒉Ready to provide design and manufacturing technologies ; ⒊The owner is required to provide on-site foundation parameters and weather conditions ; ⒋The costs required for design, the methods used for construction, and so on. After the start of the preliminary design phase: For the owner: 1. Collect data actively for those requirements that must be met according to the design institute’s specifications but have not yet been satisfied ; ⒉It is necessary to promptly report to one’s superior leaders on the basic situation of the preliminary design meeting, as well as the issues that require their decision-making. ⒊Conduct thorough and meticulous research in the industry based on the basic information provided by the design institute, to prepare fully for making the final design decisions. For design institutes: 1. Adjust any inappropriate arrangements according to the client’s requirements as well as industry standards and national standards ; ⒉Based on the situation at the start of the preliminary design phase, more practical requirements will be established to pave the way for a high-quality design.
:Party B underestimates the situation (NTMD – when will the debt be paid off? They want to get something for nothing; how can they force you to pay if they have no money themselves?). :(Party A is frustrated – what kind of idiotic work is this? They were told what to do, but still made mistakes; they promised to make corrections yet still haven’t done so, which is affecting our progress. If they don’t do a better job this time, the project won’t be able to proceed.) Both parties at the meeting were acting like they were in a daze
