I would like to ask the experts: for a Class C warehouse that stores only metal drums, plastic drums, and pallets, with no chemicals at all, what is the required distance from the factory’s perimeter wall? Which standards and regulations specify this? Thank you
“Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings”: 3.4-3.5 Fire separation distances for factories and warehouses: lol
Hello, I have gone through chapters 3.4 and 3.5; only information is provided for Class A warehouses, but there are no requirements regarding the distance from Class C warehouses to the factory boundary.
It is stated that the distance from the building to the boundary of the factory area should be no less than 5m
Hello, this is the content of Table 4.1.9 in GB50160. Do you mean the fire separation distance for Class C facilities mentioned in the note, which should be 25% less than that for Class A facilities? But in Table 4.1.9, I only see requirements for Category A installations with regard to the roads outside the plant, but no requirements regarding the plant’s perimeter fence.
I earnestly ask the expert to point out which instruction is in chapters 3.4-3.5
According to Table 4.2.12 of GB50160, the distance from a Class A warehouse to the boundary line is 15 meters; Note 8 states that for Class C warehouses, this distance is reduced by 25% compared to that of Class A warehouses, resulting in 11.25 meters.
Don’t look at Note 8; the spacing is 15m
5-meter requirement in building codes; 3.5.5
