Does anyone know how to absorb pure ammonia with water, and how to arrange the absorption valves and pipelines? Is it okay to ignite it by venting?
All you need is an absorption tower: ammonia gas is fed in at the bottom of the packing, while water is sprayed from the top. Water is continuously supplied and ammonia-containing wastewater is drained. Just make sure that no water flows back into the ammonia pipelines. Ammonia is absorbed quite effectively by water; however, when ignited, it releases nitrogen oxides, which cause severe pollution and can also lead to corrosion of nearby equipment and facilities
If you have a large volume of ammonia with high purity, consult a reputable design firm for planning; after absorption, it can be converted into ammonia water to be sold as a by-product
You need to provide the data accurately; if it’s a small amount, you can just use a bucket, but for larger quantities, design an absorption tower: lol
It is best to absorb ammonia gas with water using a device that combines an ammonia solution generator with a heat exchanger; the reaction between ammonia gas and water to form ammonia solution is exothermic, and a heat exchanger is necessary to prevent a reverse reaction. Ammonia water can be prepared.
