Friends, the picture below shows the type of nozzle from our company’s normal pressure storage tank to the inlet of the centrifugal pump. What is the function of the elbow part of the nozzle? Why do you want to set it up like this?
Without this elbow, only the material above the upper edge of the pipe mouth can be pumped. With this elbow, the vacuum in the pipe can be used to pump the liquid level at the lower edge of the elbow outlet. It can increase the effective volume of the tank.
