First, wash away the vast majority of HCl with water, and then feed it into the fan. Whether antistatic treatment is needed depends on the concentration; if it’s very low, no antistatic treatment is required, but if the concentration is high, it needs to be treated before being fed into the fan.

You can use a regular spray tower; to reduce the temperature, a cooling heat exchanger can be installed in the pipeline between the outlet of the circulation pump and the top of the spray tower. Alternatively, a cooling coil can be added to the liquid-filled section inside the absorption tower.
It depends on the amount of hydrochloric acid used; falling film absorption is definitely necessary. Cooling with jacketed circulating water is effective, or freezing can achieve even better results. The remaining hydrochloric acid still needs to be absorbed using alkali. For the exhaust gas to meet the emission standards, only trace amounts of toluene remain before it enters the fan. Fans made of PP material can last for several years and are resistant to acids and alkalis.
