Tower C-101 is a tower for removing heavy components; after the material at the bottom of this tower is extracted, it is cooled through heat exchange in tower E-101, and then pumped out to the heavy components tank using pump P-101 located at the bottom of the tower. C-101 needs to be emptied for maintenance; after steam supply is completely stopped, the material inside is removed using the P-101 pump. During this period, the output of P-101 often does not reach the desired level. By introducing nitrogen and water at the inlet of P-101 to push the contents back into the tower and restore flow, P-101 can achieve a certain output for a short time, but blockage occurs again after about 5 minutes. Finally, liquid phase backwashing through reboiler E-102 and temporary pipelines were connected at the inlet and outlet of the tube side of bottom heat exchanger E-101 to lead the material to a tank; the extracted material was very viscous and heavy, not readily soluble in water, and it took 30 hours of cooking time before it met the required standards for analysis. I would like to ask my colleagues: how can we speed up the emptying and steaming processes? Management of chemical production processes
1. Adjust the operating parameters of the P-101 pump, such as increasing its flow rate or head, to boost the speed at which the material is extracted. At the same time, check whether the pump is faulty or damaged, and repair or replace it promptly. 2. During the caving process, the caving pipes and the bottom part of the tower can be appropriately heated to increase the fluidity of the material being caved and reduce its viscosity. 3. After emptying, liquid-phase backwashing and heating can be carried out at the bottom of the tower to reduce material adhesion and solidification, thereby increasing the cooking speed. 4. In cases where heavy substances are not readily soluble in water, other solvents or additives such as surfactants and solvents can be considered to improve the solubility and fluidity of the material. 5. Regularly clean and inspect the relevant equipment and pipelines to ensure their proper operation and smooth flow, preventing blockages or failures caused by dirt, impurities, etc. .
