There is currently a DN40 pipeline in the workshop used to transport toxic and hazardous substances, with a length of approximately 150 meters. The pressure inside this pipeline is greater than 0.1 MPa. Near the heat exchanger, since the diameter of the heat exchanger’s outlets is DN80, there is a section where the diameter changes from DN40 to DN80, as well as a 1-meter long straight section of DN80 pipe (primarily to accommodate valves, instruments, etc.). Should this 1-meter-long pipe section be designed and inspected in accordance with the requirements for pressure pipelines?
According to the Provisions on Safety Supervision of Pressure Pipelines, pipelines with a pressure inside greater than 0.1 MPa fall under the category of pressure pipelines, and must be designed and submitted for inspection in accordance with the relevant regulations for pressure pipelines. Therefore, this 1m DN80 straight pipe elbow section also needs to be designed and submitted for inspection in accordance with the relevant requirements for pressure pipelines. .
