Has anyone noticed that the flow rate of the cooling steam for the turbine discs in catalytic flue gas turbines changes with temperature? At higher temperatures, the flow rate of the cooling steam decreases at the same disc temperature? Everyone is welcome to participate actively in the discussion!

Although our installation has been removed for many years, I went and checked the amount of steam just now – it’s very small, only 0.3 t/h. So I really didn’t notice the relationship between this temperature and the amount.
Thank you for your attention. The steam volume in our system is relatively high (1.2–2.5 t/h), and the shaft displacement and vibration of the smoke extractor are affected by this. This phenomenon was observed through careful inspection, and after further analysis, the preliminary cause is believed to be changes in the mass flow rate of the flue gas at different ambient temperatures (further verification is needed).
Changes in ambient temperature affect air density, which in turn affects the main air flow rate; as a result, the flue gas flow rate also changes. I have encountered this situation before – generally, the opening degree of the main air inlet is greater in summer than in winter, and this is due to this reason. But what you said about temperature changes causing variations in steam flow makes sense in theory. However, in practice, how large must the actual temperature change be for the situation you described to occur? Think about it carefully. I personally suspect it is caused by the temperature sensitivity of the instrument measurement points; it’s a coincidence.
