Regarding the bundling of insulation material in adiabatic projects, is it a mandatory requirement to use wire or steel strip depending on the size of the equipment?
It is not a strict requirement, but it is common practice to choose appropriate binding materials (such as wire or steel straps) based on the size and weight of the equipment, in order to ensure the firmness and safety of the insulation material. .

The binding material for the insulation structure should be galvanized iron wire or galvanized steel strip. When the protective layer material is a thin stainless steel sheet, the bundling material should be stainless steel wire or stainless steel strip. The specifications for thermal insulation bundling materials should be taken according to Table 6.2.11. 2. The bundling spacing for rigid insulation materials should not exceed 400 mm, that for semi-rigid insulation materials should not exceed 300 mm, and that for soft insulation materials should not exceed 200 mm. There must be no fewer than two bindings on each piece of insulating material. For semi-rigid products with a length greater than 800 mm, they should be tied at least three times; for soft products, ties should be applied once within 50 mm at each end. 3. When insulating pipes with two or more layers, each layer should be tied separately; the inner layer can be tied using galvanized steel strips or galvanized iron wire, while for larger pipes, galvanized steel strips are recommended for the outer layer. When the equipment has double-layer insulation, the inner and outer layers should be tied together using galvanized steel strips. When the protective layer material is a stainless steel sheet, the outer binding material should be a stainless steel strip.
