With a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan, it represents the first of its kind in China for the reprocessing of biomass waste using the \"decentralized liquefaction + centralized methanol synthesis\" process! On November 25, the signing ceremony for the investment promotion agreement regarding Xukē Hydroalcohol’s 350,000-ton biomass resource comprehensive utilization project was held in Zixi County. It is reported that the total investment in this project amounts to 1.2 billion yuan. The project is located within the Zhuzhi Science and Technology Industrial Park in Zixi County, covering an area of about 80 mu. The first phase of the project involves the construction of a factory capable of producing 150,000 tons of biomass liquid from waste biomass each year; this biomass liquid will serve as raw material for the Fuzhou Dongxiang green methanol project. The \"decentralized liquefaction + centralized methanol synthesis\" process used by Xuke Hydrogen Alcohol (Fuzhou) Biomass Energy Co., Ltd. is the first of its kind in China. The project can make use of local biomass waste resources in Zixi for further processing, including residues from moso bamboo processing, bamboo shoots, bamboo bark, bamboo shoot shells, fruit peels, agricultural straws, and forestry waste, thereby making full use of these biomass resources and turning waste into treasure.
It remains to be seen whether this technology is sustainable.
Domestically, the reuse of biomass waste resources has been achieved for the first time again
Asahi Hydroalcohol (Hainan) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) is a technology company established jointly by a Hong Kong-listed company, the team led by Academician Li Can, and outstanding teams in technology development, industrial transformation, and operation management from large state-owned enterprises and listed companies. The company’s headquarters is located in the Hainan Free Trade Zone, and it has the Xuke Hydroalcohol (Beijing) Liquid Sunlight Research Institute in Beijing. The company invests in and develops Liquid Sunshine projects in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, central China, the northwest, the northeast, and the southern coastal regions. Corresponding branches and subsidiaries are established based on the project locations. The company primarily engages in the research and development, industrial promotion, and commercialization of core technologies in the field of liquid solar energy, such as green methanol and green aviation fuel. Currently, it has achieved technological breakthroughs including the production of bio-oil from biomass, synthesis of methanol from CO2 and H2, hydrogen production via water electrolysis, carbon capture, and an intelligent management and control system for electricity, hydrogen, and methanol ; Relevant technical products such as process packages, core equipment, and catalysts have already been developed ; It offers business models such as project investment, operation and maintenance services, and product sales. The company focuses on liquid sunlight green methanol and green aviation fuel as its main product lines, with the goal of establishing itself as a global leader in projects related to liquid sunlight green technologies. The company has established the Xukē Hydroalcohol (Beijing) Liquid Sunlight Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the “Research Institute”). The institute is registered in Beijing Future Science City, and its director is Academician Li Can. The research institute brings together a team of over 60 professionals, including researchers, doctoral supervisors, and senior engineers from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The core team possesses nearly 20 years of research and development experience in the fields of \"biomass liquefaction\" and \"CO2+H2 synthesis of methanol.\" It is a research group that remains at the international forefront in China’s advancements in biomass liquefaction technology, hydrogen production through water electrolysis, and CO2+H2 synthesis of methanol. The research institute focuses on scientific research in liquid sunlight technology. This technology includes the already developed methods of \"distributed biomass liquefaction and centralized production of green methanol,\" as well as \"production of green methanol through hydrogen generation via new energy electrolysis and carbon dioxide capture.\" Additionally, there are methods under development for \"hydrogenation of bio-oil and isomerization to produce green aviation fuel.\" The organizational structure of the research institute consists of a Basic Research Center, an Engineering Application Research Center, and a Management Center – these three departments together form the core operational framework of the institute. The research institute is a professional research organization that integrates scientific research, intelligent equipment manufacturing, development and design of new process technologies, scientific research testing and inspection, intellectual property development, and digital intelligence system development.
