I just started working after graduating, and my supervisor asked me to write a section on safety. One of my colleagues said that saline wastewater (which mainly contains calcium chloride, magnesium sulfate, silica, etc.) counts as a hazardous chemical, as it is corrosive to the human body. However, I couldn’t find any mention of it in the list of hazardous chemicals. I would like to ask everyone: does saline wastewater indeed qualify as a hazardous chemical in the safety section?
