Over 2,400 pilot platforms in the construction manufacturing sector have been established nationwide. For example, carbon fiber composites were used for the first time in the world as key load-bearing components in commercially operated subway trains; high-temperature superconducting materials enabled the world’s first 35 kV superconducting cables to provide continuous and stable power supply for over 1,000 days. A number of innovative technologies and products were developed in areas such as industrial machinery, instruments, and industrial software. Materials presented at the meeting showed that as of now, the total number of high-tech enterprises with valid licenses has reached 463,000, of which 169,000 are high-tech enterprises in the industrial sector classified as large-scale enterprises. In our country, over 570 industrial enterprises are among the top 2,500 globally in terms of R&D investment, accounting for nearly a quarter of them. A total of 1,606 **-level technology enterprise incubators have been established, with over 12,000 new enterprises joining these incubators in 2024. Furthermore, in 2024, the total value of national technology contracts exceeded 6.8 trillion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of around 11.2%. In 2024, China established 5 more **-level manufacturing innovation centers in fields such as new energy storage, micro-nano manufacturing, molecular medicine, humanoid robots, and embodied intelligent robots, bringing the total number to 33. 672 key common technologies were overcome, 690 technological achievements were put into practical use, and 182 enterprises were incubated. To better support technological innovation, process improvement, and product development, efforts have been accelerated to establish pilot-scale manufacturing platforms; over 2,400 such platforms exist across the country, and more than 150,000 industrial enterprises above a certain scale are carrying out pilot-scale testing activities.
