There is a crude methanol plant with a capacity of 300,000 tons, equipped with DMTO technology; due to changes in the industries in the downstream sectors, this methanol plant needs to be upgraded. Consideration can be given to transforming methanol plants into facilities for producing chemicals with higher added value, such as the Methanol to Olefins (MTO) technology, which converts methanol into ethylene and propylene – products that are in high demand in the market and carry high values. At the same time, the existing capacity for producing soda ash and caustic soda in the park can be utilized to support the production of downstream products; for example, in the manufacture of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and other products, soda ash and caustic soda can serve as one of the raw materials. Such a transformation can not only enhance the overall value of the products but also ensure effective integration within the industrial chain. It is recommended to conduct a thorough assessment of market demand and economic benefits, and develop a detailed transition plan. .
