The problem of liquefying ethane-rich gas
Thread Content
The post was posted in another forum and got no replies, so it’s being posted again in the crafts forum, hoping more people will see it. . . Hello everyone, I’ve encountered a problem at work: it’s necessary to partially liquefy the ethane-rich gas in order to reduce the C4 content. The gas composition is detailed in the attachment. The initial conditions are a temperature of 40°C and a pressure of 2.5 MPa. I used PROII for the calculations, with the PR equation selected for thermodynamic modeling. As a result, the entire gas was liquefied when the temperature dropped to 25°C. Could the software be giving incorrect results? If not, why? I hope some expert can help resolve this doubt; thank you very much! https://downl.hcbbs.com/forum/202502/24/152628rpcwlxw142n442pk.webp?x-oss-process=style/ossprn https://downl.hcbbs.com/forum/202502/24/152655l0ud0tp0uptuj8x6.webp?x-oss-process=style/ossprn https://downl.hcbbs.com/forum/202502/24/152718v5z35t0cfvnzddvw.webp?x-oss-process=style/ossprnTOTAL VAPOR LIQUID DECANT H2O
