I’m seeking advice from experts: there is a pattern with regard to the dissolved oxygen level in the company’s boilers – it tends to be high in spring, during March and April, requiring more deoxidizer to be added, while it isn’t high in winter, so there isn’t much impact. The boiler feeds deaerator water produced from desalinated water (80°C) and condensed water recovery water (80°C) in a ratio of approximately 6:1, where deoxidation is achieved through steam heat. Based on the relationship between water temperature and dissolved oxygen, dissolved oxygen should be at its highest during the coldest times; however, this phenomenon is counterintuitive at present. It is difficult to analyze this issue theoretically; it is highly likely that changes in factors such as recycled water, boiler load, or chemicals are the cause.
Has there been any change in the steam required by the deaerator? In summer, when water temperatures are high, the amount of steam required by the deaerator decreases; as a result, the thermal deaeration effect is poor, and more deoxidizer is needed
If that’s the case, the amount of deoxidizer used in summer should be increased further; in reality, however, less deoxidizer is used during summer
There have been no significant changes in recycled water, boiler load, or chemicals; it has started up again recently, and the amount of chemicals used is increasing
