Your participation in the discussion serves as the greatest motivation. ********************** [Ten Years of Great Development in Chemical Equipment] This is a continuously updated compilation post; all are welcome to join the discussion: https://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-3576046-1-1.html ***************** On February 26, 2025, Guangdong Zhongjie Jingchuang Chemical Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the National Key Laboratory of Polyolefin Catalysis Technology and High-Performance Materials at the Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industry, successfully commissioned China’s first industrial-scale plant capable of producing 50,000 tons per year of α-olefins through the highly selective oligomerization of ethylene. The catalyst was loaded just once, and the entire production process operated smoothly under industrial-level conditions. As a result, ultra-high-purity 1-octene and 1-hexene were successfully produced. The success of this production run marks Zhongjie Jingchuang as the first company in China to master the full set of process technologies for the high-selective production of 1-octene from 50,000-tonnes of ethylene on an industrial scale. This achievement ensures greater domestic self-sufficiency in the key basic raw materials used in cutting-edge applications such as photovoltaic energy, and it is expected to play a significant role in improving the quality and efficiency of high-end polyolefin products. It represents yet another milestone for China in the field of high-end polyolefin materials. The domestic production of 1-octene through a highly selective oligomerization of ethylene was once considered an \"impossible task\" by the industry. As an industrial demonstration site for the National Key Laboratory of Polyolefin Catalysis Technology and High-Performance Materials, Zhongjie Jingchuang has formed a joint research team with the laboratory’s experts. Focusing on the technical challenges in the industry, and driven by an innovative spirit of daring to be ahead, taking risks, and building on solid foundations, it has overcome a series of major technical obstacles. It has also explored and successfully implemented a new model of innovation through integration of industry, academia, and research, serving as a classic example of an up-and-coming enterprise that strives to reach new heights in technology.
