Wanhua Chemical has been granted an invention patent: “A method for preparing an adsorbent used for treating exhaust gases from MDI production”. As shown by data from the Tianyancha app, Wanhua Chemical (600309) has obtained a new invention patent; the title of this patent is “A method for preparing an adsorbent used for treating exhaust gases from MDI production”, with the patent application number CN202310266488.1. The patent was granted on April 1, 2025. Patent Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for preparing an adsorbent for MDI production exhaust gases. The said adsorbent is obtained by ultrasonic mixing of a thermally exfoliated mesoporous graphene-phase carbon nitride (g-C3N4) carrier with 4-aminopyridine reagent in N,N-dimethylformamide solution, followed by vacuum drying. The adsorbent used for exhaust gas treatment in MDI vacuum units according to the present invention has the following advantages: it possesses a high adsorption capacity and high adsorption selectivity, operates under mild conditions, simplifies the exhaust gas treatment process, and also improves the operational stability of the vacuum units. Since the beginning of this year, Wanhua Chemical has obtained 161 new patent approvals, a 3.87% increase compared to the same period last year. Based on the company’s financial figures for the first half of 2024, the company invested 2.081 billion yuan in research and development during that period, a 16.18% increase compared to the previous year.
