Recently, Dingjide announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Liaoning Dingjide Petrochemical Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Petrochemical Technology”), has completed the commissioning of the pilot plant for the POE high-end new material project, and has successfully produced qualified POE products. Dingjide stated that the pilot plant for this project operates stably, and its product specifications meet the standards of international counterparts, thereby laying a solid foundation for the successful commissioning of the 200,000 tons per year POE production facility in this project. The successful commissioning of the pilot plant also confirms that the metallocene catalysts for POE, developed and produced by Petrochemical Technology in-house, meet industry-leading standards in terms of various performance indicators. The high-end new material project of Dingjide POE mainly produces products such as POE and α-olefins, which are widely used in industries such as electronics, automotive, medical care, and new energy. Upon completion, the project will not only be of great significance for the development of this sector in China, but it will also enable Dingjide to expand its high-end petrochemical industry chain downstream, which is important for promoting technological progress in related industries and accelerating the transformation of the petrochemical industry. It is worth noting that currently, China’s self-sufficiency rate remains relatively low in many areas, including high-end polyolefins, engineering plastics, functional membrane materials, high-performance fibers, and electronic chemicals. As the pace of domestic industrial upgrading accelerates, the demand for new chemical materials will continue to grow. Industry experts say that as the adoption of double-glass panels and N-type batteries increases, the development of the photovoltaic sector is likely to become the main driver of POE consumption. At the same time, as the production of new energy vehicles increases and the trend toward lighter materials continues, the use of POE in the modification of plastics for automotive applications is also set to grow steadily. In addition, POE-modified materials can also be widely used in various fields such as footwear, home appliances, masks, waterproof membranes, and pipes. A relevant official from Dingjide stated that the POE high-end new materials project will serve as a key initiative for the company to make inroads into the field of high-end new materials, and it will also function as a platform for the company’s long-term strategic efforts in the area of high-performance polymer materials. By 2025, once the 200,000 tons per year POE production facility of this project comes online, it will leverage existing customer relationships to accelerate the use of POE in areas such as photovoltaic encapsulation materials and vehicle lightweighting. As a result, the company’s sales revenue, net profit, and total assets will all increase significantly, thereby becoming a \"second growth curve\" for the company and helping it achieve rapid development.
