Wanhua Chemical has achieved domestic substitution for its bisphenol A catalysts. The company has successfully replaced all catalysts used in its bisphenol A production lines with domestically produced ones, introducing the LXC-108A series of bisphenol A catalysts. This ensures stable operation of its production lines and meets product quality standards. As a leader in China’s chemical industry, Wanhua Chemical accounts for nearly 10% of the country’s bisphenol A production capacity; the safety and stability of its raw materials have a significant impact on downstream industries such as electronics, automotive, and healthcare. This upgrade uses domestic catalysts, which reduces procurement costs, shortens delivery times, and enhances the autonomy and control over the supply chain. This alternative approach demonstrates that domestic substitution represents a comprehensive effort to catch up through technological breakthroughs, providing an example for ensuring self-sufficiency in the supply of key materials.
