Recently, the construction of the world’s first industrial demonstration plant for producing aromatics from 10,000 tons of carbon dioxide syngas, located in the Dalu Industrial Park of the Zhungeer Economic Development Zone, has entered its final phase; it is expected to be ready for trial operation by June 30. The reporter entered the construction site, where large cranes and transport vehicles were moving back and forth. Construction workers and technicians were each performing their duties, taking advantage of the optimal period for construction to make every effort to complete the project and prepare for testing. Zhu Lihui, a technician in the Engineering and Technology Department at Inner Mongolia Jiutai Xinyuan New Materials Co., Ltd., said, “At present, 95% of the civil construction work for the project has been completed. All equipment installations are finished, and pipe routing is currently underway.” ”As the world’s first 10,000-tonne-scale demonstration project to use a one-step carbon dioxide process for aromatic hydrocarbon production, its core technology was independently developed by Tsinghua University. Using carbon dioxide and hydrogen as raw materials, this technology directly produces aromatics through catalytic reactions. It features a short production process and low energy consumption, effectively addressing the issue of carbon emissions in coal-based chemical industries and facilitating the conversion of carbon resources into high-value products; it is capable of producing 10,000 tons of aromatics per year.
