Should the electrostatic oxygen analyzer be installed before or after the electrostatic precipitator?

The raw gas produced in coke ovens needs to be treated with an electric precipitator to remove tar; a high oxygen content in this raw gas can cause explosions in the electric precipitator. The oxygen content in our electrostatic precipitator is designed to be measured after the electrostatic precipitation process. But the manager requested that it be moved in front of the electrostatic precipitator. There is negative pressure in front of that device, and there are many impurities such as tar, so it’s not feasible. Have any of you installed oxygen analyzers in front of the electrostatic precipitator?
From the perspective of analyzer maintenance procedures and sample pretreatment design, it is advisable to install an electrostatic precipitator on the analyzer. However, if it is installed before electrostatic capture, the representativeness of sample analysis is better.
For most coking plants at present, no oxygen analyzer can be used before electric capture, not even laser-based online analyzers. So theoretically it should be installed at the front, but in practice it’s always after the electrostatic precipitator. Moreover, nowadays, electric oxygen detection has almost been replaced by laser online oxygen analyzers.
